A 31-mile paved hike and bike trail that runs right in front of the Abita Springs Hotel, the Trace is a great way to explore the area's beautiful natural surroundings.

Also known as the UCM Museum, the Mystery House is a well-known roadside attraction just down the street from the hotel. It is a folk art environment with 1000s of found objects, and home made inventions.
Just one mile from the hotel, the Abita Brewery offers tours of their brewing facilities, tastings in their tap room, and other events.

Serving casual cajun-style food and a wide-selection of Abita Beer and other festive drinks, the Brew Pub is located less than a block from the hotel.
The outdoor patio, right on the Trace and the park, is a great place to people watch!
The Abita Springs Trailhead Musuem, located along the Tammany Trace in the park just a block from the hotel, houses local art and history exhibitions.

The Abita Springs Art and Farmers Market takes place every Sunday (12-4pm) in the park just a block from the hotel.

Abita Springs is home to countless parades, festivals, and events throughout the year. The Mardi Gras Push Mow Parade, the Whole Town Garage Sale, the Bicycle Festival, and the weekly farmers market are some of our favorites.

The neighboring town of Covington, less than four miles from the hotel, has a charming historic downtown with antique shops, restaurants, and bars worth visiting.
